The Centre is a non-partisan, social justice, progressive Aboriginal think tank focused on the social, economic, and environmental policy and research concerns of Aboriginal people in British Columbia and Canada.
The Centre is a bridge that encourages collaborative solutions by bringing people together beyond politics to promote participatory research, policy alternatives and hope.
The Centre for Native Policy and Research is a catalyst for change through the development and promotion of credible social, economic, and environmental policy and research. The Centre is rooted in the Aboriginal community, and committed to Aboriginal self-determination and social justice.

January 9 - Welcome to Kinwa Bluesky
We are pleased to welcome Kinwa to our team as the new Research Coordinator. Kinwa is Anishnabe from Sandy Lake and has previously undertaken research work with the Institute for Dispute Resolution, The Scow Institute, and the Canadian International Development Agency. Kinwa has completed a BA from UBC in Anthropology with a concentration in Native Studies, an LLB and LLM from UVic both in the area of Aboriginal Law.
